How to see how many people called your business from Google
Updated · By LocalPulse team
Short answer
Search for your business name on Google while signed in to the account that manages it, open your Business Profile, choose Performance and pick a time period. “Calls” is the number of times someone tapped the call button on your Google listing. In the Google Maps app, open the Business tab and tap See more next to Performance.
In Google Search, on a computer or phone
- Sign in to the Google Account that manages your Business Profile.
- Search for your business name on Google. Your Business Profile opens at the top, with tools only you can see.
- Select Performance.
- Choose a time period, such as the last month, and select Apply.
You’ll see your total interactions first, then calls, direction requests and website clicks one by one.
In the Google Maps app
- Open the Google Maps app, signed in to the same account.
- Tap the Business tab.
- Next to Performance, tap See more.
What each number means
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Interactions | All the actions people took on your profile added together: calls, direction requests, website clicks and so on. |
| Calls | Taps on the call button in your Google listing. |
| Directions | Requests for directions to your business. |
| Website clicks | Clicks on the website link in your listing. |
| Bookings, menu clicks, food orders | Shown only for businesses that offer these through Google. |
| Views | People who viewed your profile on Google Search and Google Maps. |
| Searches | The search terms that showed your profile. Updated at the start of each month, up to 5 days late. |
Why Calls is lower than the calls you get
Calls only counts taps on the call button in your Google listing. Regular customers who saved your number, people who found it on your website, a delivery app or a visiting card, and anyone who typed it in by hand are not counted.
So use Calls to see whether your Google listing is bringing in more calls than last month, not as the total number of calls your business receives.
Looking for the Google My Business app?
Google retired the separate Google My Business app in 2022. Older videos and articles still mention it, but you now manage your Business Profile directly in Google Search and the Google Maps app, as above.
Getting these numbers on WhatsApp
If you don’t want to remember to open Performance, LocalPulse sends your calls, direction requests and website clicks from Google to WhatsApp every morning, along with new reviews and a health score. Every Monday a weekly summary compares them with the week before.
